Miso Glazed Sea Bass

Instructions
Mix first 5 ingredients in a glass baking dish. Add fish and turn to coat(the ingredients could also be prepared in a bowl and put them and fish in a zipbag. Keep the zipbag flat). Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours to overnight.

Preheat 400F. Remove fish from marinade. Place fish on baking sheet. Bake until just opaque in center, about 12-15 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish. Transfer to plates. Sprinkle with green onions and basil and serve.

  • 1/3 cup mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
  • 1/3 cup light yellow miso (fermented soybean paste)
  • 2 tablespoons (packed) brown sugar
  • 2 -3 tablespoons soy sauce depending on low sodium or not
  • 4 6-ounce sea bass fillets
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
