Chocolate Lava Cakes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour four ramekins.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together, stirring until smooth.
3. Stir in powdered sugar until well combined.
4. Add eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract; mix well.
5. Fold in flour and a pinch of salt until just combined.
6. Divide the batter among the prepared ramekins.
7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
8. Let the cakes cool for a minute before running a knife around the edge and inverting onto a plate.
9. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Notes
1. Be cautious not to overbake; the molten center is key to the lava cake experience.
2. You can prepare the batter ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
